Global Purchasing & Controlling Intern

Our Company manufactures braking systems for rail vehicles for more than 110 years and we are the world's leading manufacturer of this segment. We count as the determining company of the technological development of the production, distribution and servicing of modern braking systems. Now our central purchasing team is looking for an intern, who would like to get experience in a global atmosphere! If you are interested in economics and you would like to learn more about the processes, this job was meant for you, so don't hesitate and apply today!

Main tasks

  • Independent support and further development of the global KPI dashboard including monthly evaluation of the associated KPIs
  • Independent creation of a variety of ad-hoc analyzes (purchasing volume, delivery reliability, material price development, payment terms and supplier quality)
  • Preparation of presentations and decision templates for management meetings and reports
  • Support in the management of the global eSourcing platform and the new savings planning tool
  • Strategic monitoring of supplier development as well as risk analyzes as part of supplier management
  • Support strategic purchasing in day-to-day business in collaboration with the IT department and various Knorr-Bremse locations worldwide

Requirements

  • Active student status
  • Min 20 hours/week
  • Study of economics, industrial engineering or comparable (Stay 1 year with us)
  • Very good knowledge English, both spoken and written
  • Very good Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong communication skills, proactivity and motivation
  • Independent and structured approach to project work
